This is MY page concerning MY AO (Area of Operations)

I can put whatever I want to on these pages; It don't matter if you disagree with me or not; I've earned this right (and the Constitution guarantees it)!

About Me:

I'm a 48 year  old professional Black male originally from Laurel, Mississippi.  I grew up in the segregated south but am fortunate I had professional parents (teachers) who, even back in the 60's possessed a world view.

I have one older sister, Donna Yvette, who lives in Texas.  Dad passed in 1981, one year before I graduated from college, but Mom still lives in the family home in Laurel.

Daddy pledged Phi Beta Sigma at Tougaloo College in 1948; I pledged Nu Beta (Charter Line) at Georgia Tech (Fall 1980; #Nine of the Tenacious Ten)

I reside in Memphis, TN. I spent a "wonderful" year deployed to the I.Z. (International Zone) Baghdad, Iraq.  I'm a Combat Engineer, but worked as a construction engineer helping to rebuild the Iraqi infrastructure.

You can tell a lot about a person by what (s)he watches, does & reads.  You'll get an insight into me on the pages of this website.

The Most Important Thing In My Life:

My Lord and Saviour, JESUS CHRIST

My current church is the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church; Collierville, Tennessee.

My home church  is the St. Paul United Methodist Church; Laurel, Mississippi.

My ancestral church home is the New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church; Enterprise, Mississippi

Education:

It was tough tryin' to get an  "Edju-ma-k-shun" being a poor, "coloured" kid in Mississippi, but Mom & Dad insisted on 110% effort!!

               SCHOOLS I ATTENDED:

Nora Davis Elementary

Sandy Gavin Elementary

Stewart M. Jones Jr. High

R. H. Watkins High

THE Georgia Institute of Technology

The Latest G-2:

I'm currently residing at beautiful Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.  The weather is HOT, averaging with a high of 120 and a low of 98.  We're only about 5 miles from the ocean, so we get the heat AND the humidity (kinda reminds me of Mississippi)!  My job is the Logistics Officer (S-4) of a 5,000 man Sustainment Brigade, pushing supplies and equipment up into the Iraqi AO.  Just goes to show the versatility of the Combat Engineers!!
