Elwood Cemetery is located in a forest clearing approximately 5 miles southwest of Quitman, Mississippi, in the northwestern portion of Clarke County, Mississippi. From the Interstate 59, Exit 126, Pachuta (State Highway 18), travel east for 4.1 miles. Turn left on State Highway 12 (Old Highway 18). Continue for 2.3 miles to County Highway 122. Turn right on 122 and travel for three-quarters of a mile. The cemetery entrance is to the left on an upslope-unpaved road. Elwood Cemetery is commercially active and burials continue to be made there. The photo at right was taken within the cemetery looking West. Cemetery coordinates are: 32°01’05”N, 088°48’25”W.

determined as best I could using the cemetery layout and may not necessarily
